The Princeton Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted its first annual Toast to Tourism on Sept. 15. The event was held in the East Gallery at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton. Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno kicked off the event. Phyllis Oppenheimer was awarded the Salute to Service honor, while other honorees included Sivian Ben-Gad of the Peacock Inn and Larry Ciccione of the Princeton Marriott at Forrestal.

 

INSPIRATION
The freshness of the new, clean sunlight inspired Marlene Freeman to design a neutral-colored table that awakens your neurons with the millions of sparkling lights reflecting off the abundance of crystal pieces upon this table.

DETAILS
This table delights the eye with a bevy of crystal pieces featuring a variety of patterns, some etched with straight, sharp lines and others decorated with flowing, organic designs.

 

The Frog and the Peach in New Brunswick was honored by The Garden State Culinary Arts Awards on May 7 with the prize for “Best Restaurant in New Jersey.”

Modeled after the James Beard awards, these are state’s first juried food awards. Nominations were sought from the public, and then the GSCAA executive committee, consisting of food writers around the state, named ten nominees in 13 categories.

 

May has been FOOD BOWL month in Los Angeles, a 31-day festival of curated events produced by the Los Angeles Times to celebrate the city’s dynamic and diverse culinary scene and bring awareness to food waste and hunger through programs with chefs and food-justice activists. The charity partners include No Kid Hungry, PATH & Food Forward.
