  • Bullet Journals are the Planner's Planner

Organization is key to a planners’ success; a system for staying on track makes for a sense of control, even for the largest of workloads. But keeping track of daily tasks, upcoming events and goals can be overwhelming, and rarely are all those things recorded in one place. That is until the Bullet Journal took hold. Ryder Carroll, inventor of the Bullet Journal, calls it “an analog system for the digital age that will help you track the past, organize the present, and plan for the future."

The Bullet Journal’s simplicity and customization makes it accessible to everyone; a pen and notebook are the one two required supplies. The journal’s framework features an index for finding entries easily; a future log to write out the things you’d like to do someday; a monthly log that acts like a calendar for events and tasks you’d like to accomplish that month; and a daily log to make a bulleted list of tasks, events and notes each day. Visit bulletjournal.com for a video tutorial and guide to getting started.

Brewing together for pure pleasure since 2006, four guys (Tim Hanna, Matt McDevitt, Chris Konicki and Jim McAfee) finally made their dream a reality in 2011 by opening Tuckahoe Brewing Company. Located in Egg Harbor, Tuckahoe offers tours, private parties and sample tastings of their flavorful on-tap beers. Currently, Tuckahoe has 16 different beers in their tasting room that come in various sizes: 4-ounce pours, 10-ounce goblets and 16-ounce pints.

Amazing Escape Room is a live-action game that tests your team-building skills with a challenging twist. There are a handful of locations around the state: Cherry Hill, Freehold, Princeton, Montclair, Paramus, Greenbrook and Red Bank. Before starting, the room has a set time limit of 60 minutes in order to make it more challenging. In addition, there are different “level” rooms based on skill. For example, the hardest rooms have an under 10 percent success rate while the easier rooms have a 20 percent success rate.
