Brewing together for pure pleasure since 2006, four guys (Tim Hanna, Matt McDevitt, Chris Konicki and Jim McAfee) finally made their dream a reality in 2011 by opening Tuckahoe Brewing Company. Located in Egg Harbor, Tuckahoe offers tours, private parties and sample tastings of their flavorful on-tap beers. Currently, Tuckahoe has 16 different beers in their tasting room that come in various sizes: 4-ounce pours, 10-ounce goblets and 16-ounce pints.

Since its beginning, Tuckahoe has brewed over 50 different beers. “Out of our entire menu, our best-selling beers are within our core brands: Dennis Creek Pale Ale, Reeds Bay IPA and Quatrain IPA, seasonal brands: New Brighton Coffee Stout and Holly Beach Pumpkin Ale and Limited Release: I Want to See Mountains IPA and Twyla Blueberry Cobbler Table Sour,” says Matt McDevitt, head brewer and partner

Tuckahoe offers private tours upon entering the brewery, however, comprehensive guided group tours are available upon request. In addition, within their private event space they’ve hosted parties for as little as 25 and up to 350 guests. 

Awards do not come easily in the restaurant business. Michelin, AAA and Forbes tell us who the best is (and Wine Spectator when it comes to vino), and there are only a select few of local establishments that make the esteemed cut. The Bernards Inn is in rare company, as it is the only restaurant in New Jersey that has made the Forbes list of the top restaurants in the United States. AAA counts just 11 restaurants in its Four-Diamond rating in our state. While you may hear that trophies are handed out just for showing up, it’s clearly not the case when it comes to dining.

They will have to evolve the way they plan corporate events from boomers and Gen X’ers to millennials or face having an event that will become a social disaster!
